These are my girls D2 and Rosie
Rosie is 10 yrs old. We bought her
shortly before her second birthday
and we have done all her training
ourselves

Rosie and D2 over fences in better days.
Don't know how long it will be before she
can sail over jumps again.

This is the boy on our Rolo
Aren't they cute?

This is years ago D3 on Rolo
after he made his usual ribbon
haul at a show on the Biltmore
Estate.

Rollie giving D3 kisses.
Now I really must go mow the dandelions.

Great pictures! Love the farm and all the animals.

That 'view from the saddle' a post or two down almost had me in tears!

I was riding along and thought, ya know, that would make a great picture. So I rode her up to the car, eased myself ever so carefully to the ground, got the camera, and climbed every so laborously back up just to go get it. There was a moment when we were just standing quietly in the sun (an exersize in patience for her) when she looked slightly to one side with her ears up - it was beautiful from that angle but I couldn't get her to do it again once I'd gotten the camera.
We walked 40 min yesterday and actually got in about a 2 min trot - soundness! It is a wonderful thing, now if we can just keep it....

Very cute! Miss horses, pony club, and all the fun that goes with it. I miss riding too! Oh well, I've come to accept I'll never ride again. I can admire those who do, though, right? Right.

If you are admiring me for riding don't, seriously my knees keep me from "putting my leg where it goes", but if you want to admire my kids you just go right ahead. D2 is on the equestrian team for UNC and qualified for regional championship this year (proud mama). D3 doesn't ride as much as she used to, she is afraid of what a hand injury could do to her budding music career and if you can't play your instrument in college music programs they make you take academic leave until you can so - no risking a fall for her.
