After dropping D3 at the Gathering Of The Clans on Grandfather Mountain yesterday I am all alone in the house until Sunday afternoon. I have not spent a night completely alone in more than 25 years (of course I'm not completely alone this time - the corgis are here). It is so blissfully quiet. The best part? I can clean a room and know when I return to that room it will still look the way it did when I left it!

    Clean?

LOL! I'm pretending like I don't know the definition of that word right now...

Enjoy the peace and quiet. :D

Fridge and microwave clean. Whole house dusted.
Kids rooms cleaned (they are gone so it was done MY way :) - but of course that means I now have 6 extra loads of laundry to do - clothes from floors, beds stripped, towels retrieved from their rooms... Trash collected throughout house.
    Making progress.
Now I am taking an ice cream break!

I hear you! My kids have been with grandparents for 3 weeks now - I will have a hard time re-adjusting when they return!

Ain't it grand?! Not that I'd want it to be this way always, but sure is a nice break. I'm wondering if I'd have time to paint a room or two that are badly in need....

Yeah, things are quiet once again here, though I find myself missing some of the commotion of our vacation. But I'm thankful that we pretty well cleaned house before we left. Nice not coming home to a dirty house and a sinkful of dirty dishes.

Drives my kids nuts, but I Will Not leave the house for a trip without everything being neat and at least reasonably clean. I hate coming home exhausted from a trip to a dirty house!

Just got an email from himself which reads:
Ich bin zum bet. Ist 23:00 schon.
He's such a German. And I've been married to him long enough to actually be able to decode that one.
