People are descending upon DC this Sat at noon in a sign of our displeasure at their tyrannical and unconstitutional tactics to force their idea of health care reform upon us. I understand there are some education issues being piggy backed on this plan that we know NOTHING about. What ever those education ideas are, if they must be hidden under an already massively unpopular plan, I bet they are not something we would be happy about either.

I'm looking at the possibility of going - it wouldn't be easy, but it might be necessary.

Just thought I'd let you folks know. There is not much time to get the word out - tell anyone you think might care.

Hmmmm. It's only about 7 hours from here. I think we are going to try and go.

YES! Confirmed! We will be heading out tonight after he gets off work. After a bit of sleep, we will stroll some of the monuments and be ready for the march.

Haven't been there since the "Eagles Up". It's time for us to go again. Looking forward to it!

Hooray for you! I think I might just see you there - it is 8 1/2 hours from here though and the hub is out of town until late late Fri night which is causing some problems with making it all come together.

If you can't make it for some reason, I will speak loud for YOU.

If you can make it, want to meet up? On grounds, off grounds...whatever.

Darn it - I've tried every which way from Sunday to be able to get there - but I can't make it happen. Too many ifs - and pretty much everyone of them has turned into a no - So make lots of noise for me jw!

Problem is I have this boy who is too young to be left alone until after 10 pm when his father will be home (and we have had home invasions as well as some wackado arrested for sleeping in the woods behind our house in the last week too) and I can't find anyone with whom he can spend the night (everyone already has plans) but he has plans for Sat. and it wouldn't be fair to drag him with me. Plus I can't find anyone here who can go with me so I don't do the whole thing alone and my daughter (who lives about halfway) has plans so I can't pick her up to go too... It just ain't coming together.
I went last Sept (with both the boy and the daughter) - I am going in Aug. You are just going to have to yell for me - and shake a fist. I'd have loved to meet with you!

And if you see that bitch Pelosi - would you slap her for me? Well, maybe not - don't want to get you arrested, but you know what I mean.

Well I tried again one last time today to make things work to get to DC - still no go. I feel like I am letting the whole country down. I feel like I am letting my kids down. hangs head in shame...
jw we've got to find a way to exchange email addresses not here - I hope you have a wonderful experience.

I'm wondering if we can drive there and back in two days. Of course we wouldn't sleep... But it would definitely be worth it.

Thanks for coming by Jody - I'd do it if I could, oh yes I would. We should all know were each of us is on the map so we could car pool for this sort of thing!
A little more time to plan would have helped too, but sometimes life isn't like that.

I imagine that there will be other opportunities this coming summer. They're not done destroying the nation just yet. I may find myself going someday soon (I think it's a 12-hr drive from here) if they keep this up.
