I have mentioned in my "about me" that I like to make things. Used to make stuff much more, before the boy was born. Something about having four kids takes all the time and focus needed to be productively creative - or maybe it's age. Anyway, last winter I taught myself to needle felt. This is a collection of some of the critters I made.
Oh, they're SO cute!! Is learning difficult? How long does it take to make each one?
Scratch that... why not post about it when you have some time? ;)
You MADE those? They look like something you'd buy in a store! Lovely!
OMG you needle felt?! (well, of course you do.) I have never learned that. Do you sell your creations at all? Is it hard to learn?
haven't sold any yet, though not apposed to the idea - probably only as per commission though. my days of making and selling on spec are long gone. back when i was young and had a young family to help feed i made all sorts of things to sell.
is it hard? well, it wasn't for me - but i've done lots of other crafts. the really bad part is poking your own finger - lots of times. best not to bleed on polar bears.
oh, and these are all my own creations. not copies :)
i've given several away. made my D2 an awesome dragon for christmas last year, maybe i can get her to bring it home so i can get a pic to share.
Those are adorable! I can't believe you have the patience to make one the size of a quarter.
These look like some of the cat toys I buy at the store for $5.99.
Maybe I should look in to learning how to do this.
